The Network Name Resolution Services must be configured when setting up the ServAssure NXT system. Many applications rely on connectivity with other systems and applications. Proper network naming and IP Addressing are important to the overall system connectivity.
If Domain Name Services (DNS) are used, make sure that:
- All ServAssure NXT servers are properly identified within your DNS system by their hostname and IP address.
- All DNS services are properly configured on all ServAssure NXT servers and all DNS servers are reachable.
If Domain Name Services (DNS) ARE NOT USED, make sure that:
- All ServAssure NXT servers are properly identified within the /etc/hosts file on all servers. Name resolution on the servers is configured to use this file by default.
