- Login to Element Manager, https://<VPS #2_IP_address>:5557.
- Click ACCP on the left navigation pane. The Auxiliary Core Control Plane (ACCP) screen is displayed.
- Click
to configure the ACCP. - Enter the values as necessary:
Parameter Description Aux Core ID The GCP auxiliary core ID is a unique ID used by the VUE ACCP when an RPD/RMD registers with the ACCP. This is a 6-byte hexadecimal string, maximum length of 12 characters. The Auxiliary core ID must not be changed when RPDs/RMDs exist on the system with the current Aux Core ID value. These RPD/RMD must be removed from the system prior to changing the Aux Core ID value.
Aux Core Name The GCP auxiliary core name used by the VUE ACCP when an RPD/RMD registers with the VUE ACCP. The string can be a maximum length of 64 characters. Enter GCP IP Manually Enter an IP address manually. This can be used when you want to run the ACCP core container on VPS #2. In this case you must enter an IP address that is already configured on VPS #2. When disabled, you can select a GCP IP address from one of the servers displayed in the drop down list. GCP IP Address The IP address that the ACCP uses to communicate with the RPDs/RMDs over the CIN for all GCP traffic. The string value can be an IPv4 address in dotted decimal format or an IPv6 address as 8 groups of four hexadecimal digits separated by colons (IPv6 addresses may be collapsed). The string can be a maximum length of 45 characters. You can enter 2 addresses. Both are used in the same way that allows ACCP to listen on 1 or 2 IP addresses for communication to RxDs. Both of these IP addresses must be on the same server or both MUST be on VPS #2.
GCP IP Address 1 - First GCP IP address.
GCP IP Address 2 - Secondary GCP IP address.
If server is part of a redundancy cluster, this must be a VIP.
The GCP IP address determines where the ACCP core will run on the VUE system; either on VPS #2 or on a VUE application server. VUE supports multiple ACCPs per VUE system, but only 1 per VUE application server and 1 per VPS #2.
Keepalive Interval (Range: 1-10, Optional)
Sets the interval in seconds which the VUE ACCP will send GCP keepalive messages to the RPD/RMD. By default, the VUE ACCP will use a keepalive interval of 3 seconds. RxD Keepalive Timeout (Range: 1-300 seconds)
Specifies the duration in seconds that the RPD waits for communication from VUE before initiating a disconnection. The default value is 120 seconds, adjustable in 1-second increments.
NOTE: Setting this value to 0 disables GCP connection monitoring on the RxD.AUX Keepalive Timeout Specifies the duration in seconds that VUE ACCP waits for a keepalive response message from an RPD/RMD before declaring that the connection to the RPD/RMD is lost. The RxD KeepAlive Timeout must be longer than the KeepAlive Interval. The default RxD KeepAlive Timeout value is 125 seconds. GCP Recovery Action Retry (Range: 1-255, Optional)
Sets the Recover Action Retry attribute which the RPD/RMD will use for the number of retries actions for the configured recovery action for the GCP session. The default is 16. GCP Recovery Action Delay (Range: 0-600, Optional)
Sets the Recovery Action Delay attribute which the RPD/RMD will wait before or while performing the configured recovery action for the GCP session. The default is 30. GCP Reconnect Timeout (Range: 5-120, Optional)
Sets the Reconnect Timeout attribute which the RPD/RMD will as the maximum amount of time the RPD/RMD will wait for the reconnection process to complete before declaring the reconnect attempt has failed. The default is 30. Stat Polling Interval (Range: 5-900, Optional)
The polling interval that the VUE ACCP will use when collecting channel status and statistics from the RPD/RMD. The value is an integer measured in seconds from 5 to 900. The default is 60. Enable stat polling (Optional)
This will enable or disable the ACCPs polling operation to the RPDs/RMDs for status and statistics. The default is true. Enable telemetry This will enable or disable reporting of ACCP statistics to the telemetry agent. The default is false. Note that this setting has no effect if Stats polling is disabled. on far right of the ACCP row. Click Stats from
pull-down list to view the status of the RPD/RMD.
