These servers are part of the Application Engine/Cache Tier.
These nodes run an CommScope-specific application called NXT Engine and are the data read/write interface into the Cassandra Data Node Tier from all other parts of the ServAssure NXT system. These servers require a large amount of RAM to cache data in memory but do not require additional data disks for local storage. These nodes consist of the following elements:
Standard virtual machine
- 8 vCPU Cores
- 32 GB Ram
- One of the operating systems listed in: Operating system requirements
Additional 40GB disk volume mounted as /opt/arris for CommScope-specific applications and logs, with 500 IOPS or greater
