Configuring out of band signaling for setting up, monitoring, and testing remote PHY devices may be done using the SCTE 55-1 specification for Motorola, CommScope, and General Instrument devices. The SCTE 55-1 protocol requires separate downstream and upstream channels. You can either configure downstream channel as pass thru or Out-Of-Band Multiplexing (OOBM). VUE can handle SCTE 55-1 Out-of-Band signaling through DEPI and UEPI encapsulated channels.
