Before logging in to the ServAssure NXT Application/UI, you must enable the nxtsupport administrator login for the tenant you created. This is a temporary login for logging in to the application/UI, and for creating other users for accessing the system.

NOTE: If you are using LDAP based authentication, this step is not required. However, as a backup authentication solution (in case LDAP authentication fails), setting up at least one local user account in ServAssure NXT is recommended to allow application/UI logins.

To create the nxtsupport user:

  1. Log in to one of the servers using a web-based browser.
  2. Select Administration from the top menu bar.
  3. Click the name of the tenant you want to set up the nxtsupport user for.

    The Administration page is displayed for that tenant.

  4. Click Create.
  5. Another window appears; click Create again.

    An nxtsupport status window appears and displays a temporary password.

  6. Record the password created, as it's needed to log in to the ServAssure NXT Application/UI. It is not displayed again once you click OK.
    NOTE: This temporary password is valid for a period of 6 hours.

    You can now use these credentials to log in to the ServAssure NXT Application/UI.
