You must first create a default site tenant. The tenant name defines the database keyspace/schema, and supports multiple different tenants based on your site hierarchy.
- Log in to one of the servers using a web-based browser.
- Select Administration from the top menu bar.
- Click New (next to Tenants in the main window).
The Create new tenant window appears.

- Add the following information:
- Tenant Name —The tenant name you want to create.
- Password — The password for the tenant.
- Confirm Password — Chosen password confirmation.
- Days to Retain
Data — Defaults to "14". Please consult with CommScope before changing this
variable.
- Ingest Mode — PARTIAL, ON, or OFF; the default is PARTIAL.
- Once you have configured your settings, click Create.
NOTE: Tenant creation takes a while because it is setting up a new keyspace within the Cassandra Data Tier and search indexes within the Search Tier.
Once created, the new tenant will appear under the "Tenants" field, along with other configuration options for that tenant.
