ServAssure NXT system architecture at a high level includes the DOCSIS Network, its data, any on-demand data, the ServAssure Collection Platform to poll the data, and ServAssure NXT to interpret and display the data. ServAssure NXT also obtains, from the customer, the HFC plant topology and cable modem location data, which includes modem MAC addresses for homes and other buildings within the topology, known as service locations.

When ServAssure NXT is integrated with ServAssure Collection Platform, ServAssure Collection Platform polls the monitored network and sends RF and on-demand data to ServAssure NXT. ServAssure NXT analyzes the received data, which is then stored in the ServAssure NXT Data Tier. The Data Tier consists of several clustered Cassandra nodes.

ServAssure NXT

The ServAssure NXT platform contains the application logic for Alarm Central, Analyze Modem View, Analyze Network View, Modem Sessions, and Upstream Spectrum Analyzer. It also hosts the display of ServAssure® NXT Insight Views ( Insight Views) when integrated with CommScope ServAssure® NXT Insight Platform. ServAssure NXT also provides access to local user administration configuration as well as access to profile configuration settings.

ServAssure Collection Platform

The ServAssure Collection Platform performs all the scheduling and actual SNMP polling of both CMTS and CM DOCSIS devices. The ServAssure Collection Platform pushes the collected data, including on-demand data, into the ServAssure NXT platform.
