NOTE:ServAssure NXT Insight
Views 2.7 must be deployed on both "Site A" and
"Site B" and both sites must be configured to enable
multidatacenter.
This section describes how to use Ansible to
enable Insight Views SingleStore data nodes multidatacenter
functionality in both Site A (the primary Site) and Site B (the secondary, or failover, site).
NOTE:
- The procedure to configure SingleStore multidatacenter is performed only once and is not a part of procedures that are used in the event a failover to Site B is required.
- Once the tool described in this section is run, SingleStore in Site A will start streaming data to Site B to replicate all data from Site A to Site B. This is a one-time operation.
- To synchronize existing data in both the sites for the first time, you must employ data replication from the primary site to the secondary site using Ansible . Do not do it manually.
- On the primary site, data in the Kafka/Spark nodes that is not saved to a database will be lost when a failover occurs.
- When the primary site is offline, do not add/delete a tenant or create/update a tenant user before starting the failover. The failover procedure will fail if you do.
