You can look for patterns with the cable modems involved in the alarm. For example, they might all have the same MAC address style. Cable Modems view shows affected modem MAC addresses and customer information. For information about data contained in the Cable Modems view, see Related information.

To examine the cable modems involved in an alarm
  1. In Alarms view, select an Outage alarm.
  2. Click the Cable Modems tab to open the Cable Modems view.

    Some of the cable modems contained in the alarm appear, but others are not in view.

  3. Click Gather Selected to bring all of the selected cable modems to the top of the list.

    Alternatively, you can select Only show selected to see only the modems involved in the alarm. However, if you click Gather Selected, you can scroll down to see the rest of the modems on the fiber node.
