In ServAssure® NXT2.14, ServAssure® NXT Design and Installation Guide includes the following updates:

  • Updates to version compatibility and operating system requirements

This release includes changes to the versions of other ServAssure components compatible with ServAssure NXT, operating system requirements, and to the ServAssure NXT versions that can be upgraded to the current release.

For more information, refer to Version compatibility, Versions supported for upgrades, and Operating system requirements.

  • SELINUX and FIREWALLD changes

Starting in this release, you can install on nodes with SELINUX enabled in permissive mode, and FIREWALLD is no longer required to be disabled.

For more information, refer to System security services.

  • Tenant Configuration parameter, Top Alarm Query Size

A new parameter, Top Alarm Query Size, is added to the ALARM_CENTRAL tab of Tenant Configuration. This parameter lets you specify the number of alarms of each type to include in the Alarm Central Top Alarms table. Prior to this release, the number of alarms was fixed at 100 for each type; the new default and maximum is 500.

For more information, refer to Tenant configuration.

  • Tenant Configuration parameter, Enable Local User Access

A new parameter, Enable Local User Access, is added to the GENERAL tab of Tenant Configuration, This parameter lets you enable or disable local user management. The default is enabled.

For more information, refer to Tenant configuration.

  • New feature, Allow Local User Access

This feature allows you to control whether users are authenticated using a local server or an LDAP server. The default is enabled. When LDAP is enabled for authentication, it is recommended to disable the Allow Local Users feature so that all user management remains centralized in LDAP. This helps maintain consistency and simplicity in user administration by eliminating the need for separate local accounts.

For more information, refer to Security recommendations.

  • Global port matrix

Starting this release, port matrices are consolidated in a single topic. The port matrices are grouped by product and ordered by destination server.

For more information, refer to Global port matrix.

  • External sites allowlist

The external sites allowlist is updated in this release. The table contains links to third party components that require access to their external sites.

For more information, refer to ServAssure NXT external sites allowlist.
