Cause:

Incorrect Wi-Fi settings

Solution 1:

System administrator

  1. Check the coaxial cable, Ethernet connections and your IP address.
  2. If the problem still continues, check the wireless Security Mode setting on the Wireless screen.
Solution 2:

Technician

  1. If you enabled WPA and configured a passphrase on the gateway, be sure each affected Wi-Fi client has the identical passphrase.
  2. If this does not solve the problem, check if the Wi-Fi client supports WPA.
Solution 3:

Technician

  1. If you enabled WEP and configured a key on the gateway, be sure each affected Wi-Fi client has the identical WEP key.
  2. If this does not solve the problem, check if the client’s wireless adapter supports the type of WEP key configured on the gateway.
