To perform an operation on an alarm or group of alarms, select one or more alarms in the Active Window and right-click to display the Alarms pop-up menu.
Menu ItemDescription
OpenDisplays the alarm details. This function only works for one alarm at a time.
Event HistoryDisplays the events related to the alarm.
ClearSets the severity of the highlighted alarm to Clear. The Clear is local to the SDM, affects the alarm status, and counts for the device and its group. The device itself may have a different severity for the alarm and send a subsequent clear to the SDM. When the SDM resynchronizes with the device, if the alarm is still active on the device, it may revert to its previous severity.
AcknowledgeAcknowledges the alarm and assigns yourself as the owner of the alarm. Acknowledging an alarm does not affect the device status.
DeleteDeletes the alarm from the database and removes it from the view. Select if you wish to ignore an alarm. The change is local to the SDM. You can delete alarms of any severity. If the condition still exists on the device, the alarm may be raised when the SDM resynchronizes with the device or receives a Clear from the device.
CustomizeThe function is currently not available.
Device PropertiesDisplays the properties window for the selected device.

If you have selected more than one alarm, some functions may be disabled (gray tone) on the Alarms pop-up menu.
