This procedure assumes there is at least one Downstream OOB service group configured in the VTM.
- Select Service Groups from the navigation panel.
- Select the service group to be edited.
If the list of Service Groups is too large to sort through, you can search for the relevant Service Group by using the Search field.
- Click the
(Menu) button. The menu options appear. - Click Edit.
The Edit [Service Group] window is displayed. The window has the following potential tabs available:
- Identity
- Channels
- Transport Streams - only if service group created transport streams
- RPDs - only if service group created channels
- Modify fields in the Identity tab as
necessary.NOTE: The Type cannot be modified. If you selected the wrong type when creating this service group, delete the service group and recreate it with the correct Type selected.
- In the Channels tab, use
or click the corresponding
to remove a channel. You
can also click the channel to modify the channel parameters. - If the service group created a transport stream, modify fields in the
Transport
Streams tab by double-clicking a transport stream.
Use the Mute column to mute or unmute a transport stream. By default, a transport stream is unmuted. However, in the Identity tab, if the Mute Service Group checkbox is selected, all the transport streams will be muted.
- If the service group created
channels, select or deselect RxDs in the RPDs tab. To
configure the input Ethernet interface from which to receive content for an RxD:
- Select the checkbox next to the RxD and click All RF Ports, ENET 0.
- If the type is rpd 1x1,
rpd 1x2, rmd 1x1, or rmd 1x2, then the service group has one downstream
RF port. Click Ethernet Interface to select a different interface. If
the type is rpd 2x2 or rmd 2x2, the service group has two downstream RF
ports. You can select different Ethernet interfaces for both the RF
ports. NOTE: By default, the RF ports are enabled and the Ethernet interface index is 0 for all RF ports.
- Click OK.
- Click Update.
The service group has been updated and the VTM will provide the new configuration to the associated VUE and RxDs.
