Search for events

You can search for events recorded in the SDM. To search for an event:

  1. Expand the Fault Management tree in the view List.
  2. Click Network Events. The Network Events window is displayed.
  3. Select Edit > Search. The Search window is displayed:
  4. Select one of the following:
    • Match any of the following
    • Match all of the following
  5. Choose the search criteria:
    • At left, select from:
      • ID#
      • Severity
      • Event
      • TimeStamp
      • DeviceGroup
      • Name
      • IPAddress
      • Type
    • In the center, select from:
      • starts with
      • doesn't start with
      • ends with
      • doesn't end with
      • contains
      • equals
      • not equals
    • At right, type a < text string>
  6. (Optional) Click More to add additional search criteria. Each click of More adds another criteria search line.
  7. Click Search. An Event view containing events that match the criteria is displayed.
