OFDM balancing follows the load balancing group policy and occurs at modem registration. Only two OFDM channels may be assigned to a CM.
- CM COUNT
- This method normalizes the CMs to the capacity of the OFDM channel, allowing the E6000 CER to assign more CMs to the OFDM channels with higher throughput. The E6000 CER uses a normalization equation that compares the highest throughput profile of each possible OFDM channel to normalize CM counts.
- CHANNEL UTILIZATION
- This method allows the E6000 CER to assign CMs to the OFDM channels with the most unused bandwidth.
