The IP Address for reboot parameter provides the ability to remotely reboot a device, using its existing IP address, after it has been changed on the SDM. It is not necessary to delete and rediscover a device when changing its IP address.

  1. Select Fault > Device Communication Status from the SDM menu bar. The Device Communication Status window is displayed.
  2. In the IP Address for reboot field, enter the IP address of the device to be rebooted.
  3. Click Reboot. The device is rebooted.
