The Global Alarms sub-table contains an Info tab, which contains the following information.
- ID: An automatically generated identification number that is assigned to each alarm as it is raised.
- Inspection Point: The Import ID and component type for each Inspection Point, shown as Import ID [Component Type]. Click the link to open the Fiber Node view with the alarm and inspection point selected.
Inspection points do not appear for NCN Alarms.
- Alarm State: An alarm can be in any of these states. For more information, see Alarm states.
- Detected: An alarm condition has been detected on the network.
- Verified: The alarm condition has been verified as an alarm, following a configurable soak period.
- Pending Cleared: Data indicates that the alarm condition no longer exists, which may or may not be confirmed following a configurable soak period.
- Cleared: The alarm condition no longer exists. Current alarms cannot be in a Cleared state.
- Verified Time: The date and time at which the alarm was Verified. Click the link to move to the time at which the alarm was verified. This change is reflected in the breadcrumbs. See Obtain data from different points in time.
- Issues:
- Proactive Alarms: The types of issues that make up the alarm and the number of each issue type. For example, an alarm might be made up of two issue types, Downstream Spectral Response and Upstream Power. This listing also indicates the number of issues of each type that make up the alarm, such as 2 Upstream Power issues; OFDM/A issues are also included. For more information about issue types, see Issue types and RF parameters.
- Outage Alarms: No issues appear, because Outage alarms do not have issues.
The following appear for NCN Alarms only:
- Organizational Path: Indicates the path from the top of the Hierarchy to the Hub.
- Affected Component: Indicates the component that is the source of the problem.
