Add a new user

- Click Add. The Add New User window displays.

- Type the <user name> in the User Name column. A username can be up to 16 characters - the first character must be a letter. Acceptable characters are letters, digits, hyphen ( - ), and underscore ( _ ).
- (Optional) In the description column, type any <pertinent privileges limitations>; for example, "password expires in 30 days," or other commentary, as necessary.
- Select a <Security Group> from the drop down list: Administrator, Power User, or Users. Only administrators have the permissions to add new users and update the SDM firmware. Power users can update the device type, device model, and firmware version. Guest users have view privileges only.
- Type an assigned <password> in the Password field that is eight characters maximum and Confirm Password field.
- Type an <expiration time> in days (if Never Expires is not active).
- Click OK when done.
To modify user information:
- Highlight a <target line item>.
- Click Modify.
- Edit the <target items> in the Add New User window.
- Click OK.
To delete a line item:
- Highlight a <target line item>.
- Click Delete and Close.
