  1. Click Configuration > Param Status. The Device Configuration Status Report window is displayed:
  2. Type the <Device Name> if report resolution is to a single device. Type the <Device Type> if report resolution is only for those devices. Type a <Group> name if report resolution is to the devices within a specified group. Typing All removes resolution for that category.
  3. Select any combination or all of the Configuration Synchronization Statuses that will be reported.
  4. Click Filter. The lower panel expands to show the tabular report:
  5. Enable (checkmark) the checkbox(s) in the title row(s) to affect all listed items with the Synchronize button.
  6. Click the <name> or the <IP address> in the Name field. The Device Parameter report is displayed:
  7. Click Synchronize to make the configuration status of the device and SDM coincident.
  8. Click Reboot to reboot the device. Remaining fields in the tabular report are:

    Column

    Description

    Name

    Either the device name listed in the /etc/hosts file or the IP address if no name was assigned.

    IP Address

    The IP address of the device.

    Type

    The type of the device.

    Configuration Status

    Synchronized (SDM and device have identical parameter values) or Not Synchronized (SDM knows something changed in the device, but not exactly what).

    Discrepancy Count

    The number of parameters in the SDM database that do not match the value in the device.

    Not Applied Count

    The number of parameters in the SDM database that have not been applied to the device. This may include parameters that require a reboot to take effect.

    Boot Setting

    • Unconditional - the SDM sends a response back every time a BOOTP request is received
    • Conditional - the SDM sends a response back only if changes are present in the

      BOOTP request

    • Disable - disables BOOTP processing

    Communication Status

    Communication between the SDM and the device is either Established or Not Established.

    Synchronize

    On the Device Configuration Status Report, provides the capability to synchronize status with multiple selected devices.

    On the Device Parameter Report, provides the capability to synchronize status with a selected device.

    Reboot

    Provides the capability to reboot a device.

    Reapply

    Provides the capability to resend down to the device the SNMP configuration changes that were not previously applied. It is recommended for devices that were off-line when SNMP-only configuration changes were executed.
