The Summarization view allows you to observe historical graphs for larger periods of time than the standard historical tab, up to a maximum of one year. Summarization graphs are available from the Historical tab down to the "Cable MAC" level of the network hierarchy. Not all graphs support viewing a full year of data. Refer to Available summarization graphs for details on the maximum available data per graph.

Summarization view is based on daily summarized data and reports data from the specified starting date to at most the previous day. The current day is not included. For each specified end date, both in the quick links and the editor fill-ins, the actual end date used in calculations is the middle of the night (23:59:59) of the previous day. Summarized data is calculated daily in the early morning and may not be available for several hours each day while the data is being calculated.

NOTE: The summarization view data requires a connection to Insight Views 2.5. If this connection is not available, or your version of Insight Views is less than 2.5, you cannot access the Summarization view.

Access Summarization

Enter Summarization view by clicking on the Summarization button in the Analyze Network View time panel. This opens the Summarization panel. The Summarization button is visible down to the Cable MAC level of the hierarchy, and only when the Historical tab is selected.
