VTM lets you to create and maintain Service Group templates in the system to simplify the service group creation process. You can create templates for Transport Streams, Frequencies, and Channels.
- Transport Stream templates contain the information necessary to build a transport stream in VUE. During service group creation, you can select and assign a transport stream template. You can create both Multi-Program and Single-Program transport streams. You can create transport streams with Broadcast, Narrowcast, and Downstream OOB service groups.
- Frequency templates will automatically use the available channel frequencies in the range appropriate to your service group type. VTM monitors the currently-used frequencies.
- Channel templates allow flexible Annex mode configuration where you can specify different Annex modes and related symbol rates for each channel template. Using channel templates, you can configure different Annex modes for service groups, VUEs, RxDs, and channels.
