The CommScope® Video Topology
Manager (VTM) is the centralized video provisioning component in a Distributed Access
Architecture (DAA) environment that uses a Video Unified Edge (VUE) component as a Video
Auxiliary Core (Aux Core). VTM lets you provision and configure a VUE system to:
- Configure Transport Streams on VUE and map multicast video service groups to Remote PHY Devices (RPDs) and Remote MAC PHY Devices (RMDs) (collectively, RxDs).
- Provide video channel and frequency information to an RxD.
- Create video service groups based upon the types of services being delivered, geographical area, and legacy video distribution characteristics.
