  1. Select Service Catalogs from the navigation bar.
  2. Select the Catalog Entries tab.
  3. Click the (Menu) button.
    The menu options appear.
  4. Click Add.

    The Add Service Catalog Entry window appears.

  5. Select a Service Catalog from the pull-down in which this entry will reside.
  6. Optional: Enter a Name, which is a user-specified identifier, for this catalog.
  7. Select a Source Type from the pull-down for this catalog. Choose from the following:
    • Program
    • PassThru
    • PID
    • AutoMap
  8. Optional: Enter a Source Multicast IP. You can optionally enter a secondary source in Secondary Source Multicast IP.
  9. Optional: Enter a Source IP. You can optionally enter a secondary source in Secondary Source Multicast IP.
  10. Enter a Source UDP Port. You can optionally enter a secondary source UDP Port.
  11. Optional: Enter an Adzone to which this catalog entry will apply.
  12. Optional: Enter a Location by which this catalog entry will be organized.
  13. Optional: Enter a Source Name for this catalog.
    (Not available for the PID or AutoMapSource Type.)
  14. If you selected the programSource Type, complete the following additional fields:
    1. Enter a Source ID for this catalog.
    2. Enter an Input Program Number.
    3. Enter an Output Program Number.
  15. If you selected the PIDSource Type, complete the following additional fields:
    1. Select a PID type for mapping from the PID Type pull-down.
    2. Enter an Input PID Number.
    3. Enter an Output PID Number.
    4. In the Assign Service Groups section, you can assign the PID to one or all the service groups using the check boxes.
  16. If you selected the AutoMapSource Type, select a PID template from the PID Template pull-down.
    Important:

    PID templates are required with the AutoMap SourceType. If a PID template which specifies the desired PIDs has not been created yet, you must create the template prior to creating the Service Catalog entry.

    If you do not have ancillary PIDs that are to be passed through to the AutoMap Output Transport Stream, then you must create a PID template with no PID entries and assign it to the AutoMap Service Catalog Entry. An AutoMap Service Catalog Entry must have a PID Template assigned to it before the AutoMap Service Catalog Entry can be used in assignment to Transport Streams.

  17. Click Save.

The Catalog Entry has been added to the VTM.
