For example, if a Service Location is
adjacent to an alarm but is not part of the alarm, you can select the Service Location and
view its modem MAC address in the Cable Modems view, along with the MAC addresses for the
modems that are involved in the alarm.
The following example assumes that a
Proactive alarm is selected in the Alarms table and that Logical view is open with
Proactive and
Show Inspection
Points selected.
To add a Service Location to an
alarm
Select an alarm in Alarms view.
The alarm appears in Logical view as
shown in this picture.
In the Cable Modems view, click
Gather Selected
.
The MAC addresses for the modems that are
part of the alarm move to the top of the table.
In Logical view, select additional
Service Locations by holding down the Shift key and clicking the Service Locations.
This picture shows that the added Service
Locations turned purple when they were selected.
In the Cable Modems view, click
Gather Selected again.
The MAC addresses for the additional
Service Locations are added to the selected MAC addresses at the top of the table and
they are highlighted purple.
