When an amplifier is selected in Logical view, the elements directly below it are also selected, down to the level of the next amplifier. For example, if you select an amp at Node Depth N+2, all the elements below the amp at N+2 are selected, but any amps or elements at N+3 are not selected.

This picture shows the selection in Logical view when an amp at N+1 is selected in Amplifiers view. Notice that only the elements below the selected amp are selected and that the elements at N+2 and N+3 are not selected.
