To troubleshoot Outage Alarms in Outage Manager, you can start from the Global view. In the Global Alarms table, in the row for the alarm that you want to troubleshoot, click the fiber node name. The Fiber Node view opens with the alarm selected.
You can turn on the inspection points for the most critical Outage alarm listed in the Alarms table. Inspection points appear on the topology and highlight trouble areas. You can look at the metrics for all affected modems to determine whether the problem is related to the line or a modem. In the Topology views, you can examine trouble areas indicated by the inspection points and view areas that are in alarm.
