Currently, VUE does not allow Channel Index Values greater than the maximum number of channels an associated RxD devices can support. Due to the variety of supported maximum channels amongst RxD manufacturers, this needs to be accounted for manually by the operator in VTM.
CommScope recommends that operators create an RF Channel Index template(s) on the VTM for each group of RxD devices which support a different number of maximum channels. This issue will be addressed in a future VUE version where the VUE will compare the current number of channels “in use” on an RxD device against the maximum number of channels supported by the device. The RF channel index value will not be used.
