  1. Select Configuration > Device Restore Management on the SDM user interface. The Device Restore Management page is displayed. A list of device backups available on the SDM is included.
Filter options in the upper portion of the page provide the ability to specify one or more filter criteria. These include Backup Name, Device Name, Device Type, Device Model, Firmware Version, and Backup Comments.
Additional filter options include Backup Status (Success or Failed) and Backup Mode (Manual, Scheduled, or Imported). Another option is to filter on a time interval by specifying start and end dates and times. Enter one or more filter criteria, as you wish.
  2. Click Filter. The list of available Device Backups is filtered accordingly.
  3. Select the radio button associated with the device backup to be restored. A new pane (Select Devices) is added to the page, listing the devices for which configuration can be restored from the selected Device backup.
  4. Select the checkbox for one or more of the Devices in the Select Devices pane, and click Restore Backup. The restoration of the configuration for the selected device(s) is initiated.
NOTE: There are some limitations on the types of data which can be restored; please see the Restoring a Device Configuration from a Device Backup on page 153. section at the end of this page.

The page is updated to display status information. You can track the progress of the Restore operation using this information.

After the device configuration on the SDM has been restored to the selected backup data, apply these configuration changes to the real device using operations such as Config Sync or Bootp. Alarms for the device can be synchronized using Alarm Sync.
