The DAC (Digital Address Controller) 6000 provides channel management/configurations, terminal authentications, and terminal provisioning. Optionally, VTM interfaces with the DAC 6000 to receive virtual channel map information for adding channels to service groups.
The virtual channel map information received from the DAC 6000 provides edge video sources and EIA frequency definitions. This data is used for configuring broadcast, narrowcast, and downstream OOB service groups.
