The SDM provides the ability to automatically initiate a backup of the configuration of a device, based on user-defined triggers. Similarly, circumstances under which no backup should be generated can also be defined.
These actions are achieved using filter sets:
- A filter set is a set of inclusive and exclusive filters.
- An inclusive filter determines which SDM events/alarms trigger a device backup.
- An exclusive filter determines which SDM events/alarms do not trigger a device backup.
