One or more existing device backups can be archived by exporting them to a single zip file. This archive can later be copied to another SDM server, and one or more device backups contained in the archive can be imported into the latter SDM server. Use this procedure to import a device backup archive into a different SDM server.

  1. Select Configuration > Backup Management on the SDM user interface. The Device Backup Management page displays.
  2. Click Import Backup. The page is updated to display a default import directory, and lists the archive files that exist in that default import directory.
NOTE: It is possible to override the default Import Directory. Enter the desired name for the import directory, and click Scan. The archive files in the specified import directory appear in the Select File(s) list.
  3. Select one or more of the archive files listed, then click .View Backup Files

The device backups contained within the selected archive files are listed in the lower portion of the page.

  4. Select the checkbox of one or more of the device backup files in the list of Backup files, or click CheckAll to select all items in the list for import.
  5. Click Import. The selected device backup files are imported into the SDM. A status page is displayed, which allows the progress of the import operation for each of the selected device backups to be tracked.
