A device backup operation can be scheduled as a one-time occurrence, or on a periodic basis. When a device is created on an SDM, the backup schedule for it is disabled, by default.
- Select Configuration > Backup Management on the SDM user interface. The Device Backup Management page displays.
- Click Schedule Backup. The contents of the Device Backup Management page are updated to display a list of devices on the SDM, and the backup schedule information for these devices. Options for modifying the schedule information are also included.
- (Optional) Specify one or more filtering parameters in the upper portion of the window.
- Click Filter. The list of devices is filtered accordingly.
- Select the checkbox for the device to view the backup schedule for a device. Next, click View/Modify Schedule. Backup schedule information for the selected device is displays on the lower pane of the screen.
- Select the checkbox for each device to edit the backup schedule for one or more devices. Next, click View/Modify Schedule. The page is updated to include a Schedule Backup pane.
- Enter the schedule details using the Schedule Backup pane.
- Click Apply. A backup operation is scheduled for the selected devices, per the configured schedule information.
NOTE:When viewing backup schedules:
- If a single device is selected, the actual configured values will be shown if the device is already configured; otherwise, the default values will be shown.
- If multiple devices are selected, the default values will be shown, as it is assumed that the configured values will be always different between the selected devices.
