Capture controls for impulse noise include:

  • Center Frequency — Frequency around which a capture occurs.
  • Passband Width — Space around the center frequency.
  • Start Trigger — Value in microvolts for the start point of a capture.
  • End Trigger — Value in microvolts for the end point of a capture.
NOTE: During a capture, if an instantaneous measurement exceeds a provided threshold (start trigger), an event measurement will be captured. If the instantaneous measurement falls below a separate threshold (end trigger), the event will end. While a capture is occurring, these values cannot be changed. All values must also be integers.
  • X-Axis — Specifies the frequency or time range for the X-Axis.
  • Y-Axis — Specifies the amplitude in microvolts or power density (dBmV) for the Y-Axis.
  • Reset — Tries to automatically determine the most appropriate range of X or Y data based upon what is being received by the CMTS.
General controls include:
  • Open in... — Opens in Alarm Central or Analyze Network View.
  • Zoom Control — Zoom in on a section of the graph by dragging the mouse. Click Zoom Out to restore the graph to its original size.
  • Chevron — Shows or hides the capture panel controls.
