There may be situations when an RC can become out of sync in its configuration between VTM and VUE. The most common cause for this discrepancy is configuration changes on the VUE system using the VUE element manager. In such cases, you can perform an RC Config Sync operation on VTM to report and resolve the discrepancies.
Resolving the discrepancies involves either accepting the existing VTM configuration settings (from VTM to VUE) or accepting the VUE configuration settings (from VUE to VTM). Another more common situation is when an RC is created on the VUE system using the VUE EM and the RC must be imported into VTM. This is accomplished using an RC Config Sync operation from VTM.
Follow these steps to sync the RC configuration between VTM and VUE.
- Select a VUE element from the list under .
- Click
within the RC-Server tab. This lists the discrepant
RCs. - Click View to view the details. This displays a pop-up window to compare the values in VTM and VUE.
- Compare the values to identify the
resolution for the discrepancies.
