Each of these items appear on every screen and are used to navigate the user interface. The display of each item might contextually change in appearance based on the current screen being viewed.

User interface (Home screen and Dashboard)

  • Home: Displays the Dashboard with alarm summaries.
  • Configuration: Displays the Configuration screen containing system-wide settings.
  • Elements drop-down: Displays the VUE, RxD, or DAC screen.
  • Templates drop-down: Displays the Transport Stream, Channel, Frequency, or Channel Index Templates screen for Service Groups creation.
  • Service Catalogs: Displays the Service Catalogs screen for creating and managing Catalogs, Catalog Entries, and PID Templates.
  • Service Groups: Displays Service Groups screen for creating and managing Service Groups.
  • Transport Streams: Displays the Transport Streams screen for viewing configured Transport Streams in the system..
  • Monitoring drop-down: Displays the Alarms screen for viewing alarm messages or the Status screen for viewing the provisioning and operational status of Service Groups.
  • Title bar: name: Shows the username of the current user logged into the VTM.
  • Title bar: megaphone (Notifications): Displays all unread notifications. A number is displayed when new notifications have not been viewed.
  • Title bar: checkerboard (Federated Apps menu): Provides a link to the CommScope web site. You can edit the menu to include additional links to related applications.
  • Title bar: Settings: Provides access to the About box, other Domain Manager modules, VTM online help, and logging out.
