Enable or disable suspension on redundancy cluster

Suspension of a redundancy cluster is required to modify any cluster parameters. Suspension of a redundancy cluster prevents automatic failover regardless of the redundancy fault condition. While suspended, you can perform force failover on the standby server. While suspended, heartbeat signals, alarming, and monitoring of redundancy servers continue to operate. Suspension of a cluster is also recommended when performing a software upgrade. See Installation Guide for more information on software upgrade process involving redundant servers.
NOTE: Make sure you suspend the cluster before you modify or edit a cluster.
  1. Login to Element Manager, https://<VPS #2_IP_address>:5557.
  2. Click RC-Server in the left navigation pane.
  3. Under Redundancy Cluster, view the list of the clusters available in the system.
  4. Click the ellipsis menu (More options button) of the corresponding redundancy cluster.

    The Suspend Redundancy Cluster column shows the suspension status of the cluster. false indicates the cluster is not suspended and true indicates that the cluster is suspended.

  5. Select Suspend/Un-Suspend from the pull-down list.
  6. Click Yes to confirm the suspension or No to cancel the operation.
    To verify the suspension of the RC, click Stats from the ellipsis menu.
